Biography
Miranda Gerberding has taught English as a Second Language since 2001, with classes ranging from basic conversation skills through graduate writing. Miranda has also taught variety of online writing classes to native English speakers at Franklin University, including English 101 (Basic College Writing) and Global Issues (an upper-level writing-intensive research class). In New Mexico, Miranda ran a Literacy Center, and her research focused on helping students who were not literate in their native language learn to read in English. In her first role at OSU, she was the Assistant Director for International Curriculum at Fisher College of Business. She helped add international aspects (cases, discussions, simulations, etc.) into courses at Fisher, and helped plan short-term study abroad trips for MBA and undergraduate students. In her personal life, Miranda runs a photography business. She loves traveling to National Parks and hopes to be able to meet her family’s goal of visiting all National Parks by 2030.
