Translingual: The Journal of International Voices is IELP’s publication featuring the writing and artwork of the international community. Translingual showcases the phenomenal creative and analytical minds here at OSU. The journal includes a variety of writing (academic, creative, informative, and reflective) as well as varied artistic mediums. Translingual offers an opportunity for international students, faculty, and staff to share their voice with one another and the university community.

We are seeking a talented student editor to help in the publication of Translingual!
Duties include managing emails, organizing submissions, correspondence with other departments, and data entry.

Submissions

Are you a member of the international, multilingual, and/or multicultural community here at OSU? We would love to hear your voice! Translingual is accepting submissions on a rolling basis, so you can submit at any time. Any work submitted after the deadline will be considered for the next issue.

Volume 3, Issue 1 is out! Read it below.

The summer submissions deadline for Autumn 2025’s Volume 3, Issue 2, is August 1, 2025.

Submissions can include:

Academic: short research reports and academic work from courses
Creative: poems and stories
Informative: experiences, reviews, and advice
Reflective: opinion pieces
Varied Artistic Mediums: photography, sculpture, painting, music, and dance

If you have a piece of work that doesn’t seem to fit into one of these categories, please submit even if you are unsure. Our team would love to see your work, whatever form it takes! We will work with you to make it publishable.
