Biography
Alexandria Mikhail has been at OSU as a student, and later as a lecturer, for over a decade. She attended OSU for undergraduate and graduate school, so it’s fair to say she loves it here! Alexandria has been teaching in IELP since Fall 2021; she has taught in the Academic English Writing Program and in the American Language Program. Her interests include international student adjustment to college life abroad, student motivation, and student perceptions of instruction. She organizes the IELP Movie Night, which is a monthly event in which IELP students can gather, discuss, and watch American movies. She is passionate about the international student experience because her grandfather came from Egypt to attend OSU for his PhD in the 1950s. She grew up admiring the resilience and tenacity that it takes to study abroad.
