Biography
Dr. Ivan Stefano is the Director of IELP. His work focuses on helping international and multilingual students, scholars, and professionals with their English proficiency and cultural adjustment in the United States. His interests include English language teaching, academic writing, educational technology, web design, and curriculum development. Dr. Stefano also serves as a Co-director for the Buckeye Language Education Resource Center in the Department of Teaching and Learning, where he is a collaborator on language teacher training projects. Prior to his current administrative role, he was an Assistant Professor at a small liberal arts university, where he directed an English bridge program and taught English language courses (reading/writing and listening/speaking). He was also a long-term board member of Ohio TESOL, which is an advocate for English language learners in Ohio. Outside of work, he is an aviation enthusiast, and enjoys traveling and keeping up with current events.
